Fruit and vegetable crates
Ventilated, open-wall crates. Gate position, venting and balanced filling control the weld lines around the openings.
PLASTIC CRATE MOLD SUPPLY & MATCHING
Send your crate drawing and the machine it will run on. We supply molds for fruit and vegetable, beverage, logistics and foldable crates, matched to your machine and trial-run before shipment.

CRATE TYPES
We supply molds for the four main crate types. Each mold is designed around your crate, resin and machine.

Ventilated, open-wall crates. Gate position, venting and balanced filling control the weld lines around the openings.
Bottle crates with dividers and handles. Rigid ribs and stable ejection support repeated stacking and handling.
Solid or ventilated boxes, often with lids. Flat bases and even cooling keep the box square for stacking and automation.
Collapsible crates with hinges and locks. Hinge and locking features are molded accurately so the crate folds and locks reliably.
CRATE MOLD SPECIFICATION
Our standard crate mold build. Cavities, runner and machine interface are defined for your crate and confirmed in the quotation.
Mold plates and frame
Forming inserts for the crate geometry
Design life of the standard crate mold
Typical lead time, confirmed in your quotation
Every mold is trial-run before shipment, and samples are sent to you for confirmation.

MOLD REQUIREMENT DEFINITION
You can begin with incomplete information. The proposal is finalized only after the product and interface requirements are confirmed.
MACHINE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility review covers documented mold and machine data, including mounting, injection, opening, ejection, mold actions and utility connections.
Send the machine model, platen and tie-bar data, injection-unit information, ejector details and available interfaces.
The crate, mold and production target are reviewed together before a machine configuration is proposed.

SUPPLY, QUALITY & ACCEPTANCE
The confirmed quotation should identify what is supplied, which technical documents govern the project and how acceptance will be assessed. Availability of every item is determined in the final proposal.
Approved product information, resin, machine data, output target and any special functional requirements.
Mold configuration, interfaces, agreed accessories, documentation and trial arrangements included in the confirmed supply scope.
Approved sample criteria, trial conditions, review records and any shipment acceptance steps written into the project scope.
MOLD PRICE DRIVERS
Every crate mold is quoted for your crate. These factors set the mold price and the cost per crate over the mold’s life.
Larger crates need a larger mold base and more steel.
Single or two-cavity layout, cold or hot runner.
The standard build uses a P20 mold base with 718H core and cavity for a 500,000-shot design life.
Sliders, lifters and folding or locking features add mold components.
More effective cooling shortens the cycle and lowers the cost per crate.
Trial run, samples, packing and shipping terms are set in the quotation.

CRATE MOLD DESIGNS
Each crate mold is designed around the crate dimensions, rib and vent pattern, stacking features and the target machine. Below are crate molds by crate type, followed by 3D mold designs labelled with the crate size.

MOLD PRICE & PROJECT QUOTATION
Plastic crate mold price depends on the confirmed product, mold configuration, interfaces, project scope, documentation, trial, logistics and service requirements. A fixed price is not published without that definition.
Mold-only enquiries are accepted
Mold + machine and complete-project scopes can be reviewed separately
Existing-machine compatibility requires machine data
Drawings, samples or product photos can be attached
BUYER QUESTIONS
Yes. Select “Mold Only” in the enquiry form. A machine purchase is not required to submit a mold project.
It can be reviewed after the machine model, platen and tie-bar data, injection unit, ejector, controls and utility interfaces are provided. Compatibility is confirmed project by project.
Start with the product drawing, sample or photos, dimensions, target weight, resin, expected output and existing-machine information when applicable. Unknown details can be discussed.
Fruit and vegetable crates, beverage crates, logistics and turnover boxes, and foldable crates.
Crate size and weight, cavities and runner type, steel, mold actions, cooling design and the trial and shipping scope all affect the quotation.
HWAMDA can review a new crate and basket production equipment configuration together with the mold. The machine and mold scopes are identified separately in the proposal.
The standard crate mold uses a P20 mold base with 718H core and cavity steel, and has a design life of 500,000 shots.
The typical lead time is 60 working days. The schedule for your project is confirmed in the quotation.
Yes. Every crate mold is trial-run before shipment, and molded samples are sent to you for confirmation.
